What you have in your bag says a lot about what goes through your head. Here I have something that I carry with me all the time but is designed so that it doesn't interfere with my day to day grind. From how I see the world I believe that it can potentially be a dangerous and hazardous place. That being said, I hope I never need the thing but I have a few times already.
What's included: 2000 calorie MRE (meal ready to eat), 6 packets of water, flashlight/ Red glostick, Heat blanket, Multi-tool, Knife, Matches, a black trash bag which has many uses, and a first aid kit for trauma and my medication.
I've actually used the first aid kit many times now at some of the oddest of times. I've bandaged a few people up and a few weeks ago I actually had to change an old dressing for my grandfather. He was glad I kept this stuff around. Other times I've let someone use my enhaler or handed out a few bandaids. Every now and then I stumble into a problem and feel unequipped to deal with it so I have to improvise. I hate when this happens.
Here we have what I carry on me in that little black bag that fits in my book bag. This is mine but I've created others for family, friends, and others that fit in purses, cars, etc.
